TOTEM Energy contributes to the projects of the Poligrow Foundation, a Colombian non-profit organization committed to improving the quality of life of people in Mapiripán, a small and disadvantaged community near to the Amazon Forest.
Mapiripán is geographically isolated from the rest of the country. For a long time, illicit crop cultivation has been the only possible means of subsistence for the population. Thanks to the Foundation’s projects, Mapiripán is now free from a past marked by illegality, while new activities have been promoted that foster economic and social development.
TOTEM Energy supports the creation and improvement of sustainable food production systems and the sale of locally-grown products as an important source of complementary income for the community.
